UPM MyAgeing Living Laboratory UPM
This lab functions as a showroom for retirement and senior living. This project aimed to upgrade the existing building to make it user-friendly for the elderly and persons with disabilities.
Our team has performed an access audit and run simulations to determine the barriers and give recommendations to improve the existing features in this living lab. This lab caters to bedrooms for independent occupants, semi-dependant occupants (wheelchair users), fully dependent occupants (bedridden users), and dementia patients.

Upgraded kitchen features: pull-down dish rack, adjustable cabinet, adjustable sink counter, pull-out waste bin, pull-out table, and folding table.
Customized reversible mirror for dementia patients, wall-mounted basin with adequate knee space for wheelchair users, and lowered mirror height.
